Hi Craig,

All the ports come up as input only. They can be changed to Quasi Bidirrectional (as on the standard 80C51), Push-Pull and Open Drain.
These settings can be set with the PxM1 and PxM2 registers. Page 28-30 in the users manual, http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/acrobat/v...C932_1.pdf

You mentioned the code was almost identical, would you mind posting the code then I can take a look.
