i m working on making an energy meter using ADE7756 and ADE7756 has an SPI interface from where it can be calibrated and reading can be taken ... I have connected it to uC in following way
P2.0 - Data IN of ADE7756
P2.1 - Data OUT of ADE7756
P2.2 - SCLK of ADE7756
P2.3 - CS Out of ADE7756
i send a read command to ADE7756 and it sends back data onto DOUT( i checked it using scope and this is the scenario when P2.1 and DOUT is not joined) ..but when i join them the signal dies down ... if P2.1 is initally cleared in the software it stay lows despite data coming out from DOUT ...if p2.1 is initally high it stays high despite data coming out of ADE7756 either the current is too low from ADE7756 that it cant drive the circuit or may be some other reason ..any solutions ?????
