It is possible to also make an LED display with just a single column of LEDs. If you want to look at how this could be done please link to a continuation of this post on my own web page.
Sorry to have to make you change pages. The 8052.com forum pages server does not allow certain types of complex web page objects. I also post a challenge on that page.
