Sorry for the late reply, I was trying to fix the problem for two weeks, but It's still there smiling evily at me ...

I tried everything, changed the crystal, grounded the case ... I fixed the powerup mode so that the MCU is powered on after the main power supply goes on .. so the theres no slow powerups .. that fixed it a bit but not totally. It sometimes works and sometimes I need to manually give it a "shock" to work.

Ok maybe something is wrong with the caps I'm using? the caps are 30pf for a 12Mhz crystal...
