I will. The powersupply on the NMI 8031 board I use for testing is too weak to power all the relays - I will use a more powerful supply in the final circuit.

But I would still like all the relays to be off on powerup, so I guess I still need the reset circuit.

How are you filtering the relay coils?

I currently use only use the internal diodes in the ULN2803 drivers. The relays are small DIL relays with 125 Ohm coils BTW.

0.1uF 100R across them works wonders for reducing ringing.

I would like to avoid adding more parts than nescessary to save board space if possible. The circuit seems to work well without any extra parts.
