#51093 - RE: MISRA Responding to: ???'s previous message |
"For instance I have heard of this MISRA for C"
Guidelines For the Use Of The C Language In Vehicle Based Software. ISBN 0-9524156-9-0 Published: MIRA April 1998 http://www.hitex.co.uk/general/misra.html http://www.misra.org.uk/ "but that is specifically for the automotive systems and basically a guideline for good coding practices.." That's right: it's a set of rules - not a testing tool. (although I believe there are tools to check MISRA compliance) Although MISRA is a motor industry organisation, that doesn't mean that their guidelines are only applicable to automotive applications! |
