You will need to interface using a Floppy Disk controller chip, data sheets should show how. Sorry but the only chips I know of are now well obsolete such as Intel's 8271 (it was obsolete when I first encountered it back in the early 80's!).

Me ? I've given up with this type of drive and am now doing a IDE HDD interface for my MP-3 Player.
