Be sure to practice your SMT soldering before you solder the ADC to an adapter! Take an old card with SMT parts, desolder them using hot air (like a heat gun or butane torch) and solder them back on.

I highly recommend you get flux (flux pens are handy), the finest solder you can find, and keep a sponge handy for cleaning the soldering iron tip.
