the contrast level can be automatically adjusted for temperature with a simple adjustable power supply. The 337 is a negative adj regulator. The thermistor sets the output voltage and therefore the contrast: as the tempertaure changes and the LCD chemistry changes, the 337 compensates and keeps the contrast constant......
