#5253 - RE: Flash micro availabilities
Oliver,

The circuit in AP461 was once available from Philips (they loaned me one) but they pulled it from sales when they made an agreement with Phytec (I'm not sure about the spelling) to supply their development boards for the RX family.

The circuit in AP461 works. I made a few changes around the 12 volt converter and automated the switch throws with a sequencing circuit and put it onto a SMT board about 2" by 3" with about 10 indicator LEDs and jumpers for determining the switch timing.

The bad news is that I can't sell you these kits.

I only made up enough for our manufacturing support. It was made to plug into a header on our RX+ boards so we could use live code intead of an 8051 emulator and then to load test code and eventually live code through the manufacturing process.

While I've got a CAD schematic and PCB layout and even our own software on my computer, I can't see it as commercially viable. I just treat it as in-house support.

Since we'll be doing RX2 work in 2001, I'll strip off the 12 Volt conversion circuit and add RS232 signal support for switching from Program mode or Run mode. Maybe I should consider making that a inexpensive offering???
