Two NAND gates from a quad NANA 74'00 configured as a simple flip-flop will be cheaper than the dual flip-flop 74'74 and with he spare two gates you have an emergency logic gate, inverter, or another simple flip-flop. Since you are merely dividing down a constant clock, the 74'74 set and clear pins would be wasted pinnage. aka J |
