Well, I certainly got a lot of good ideas and suggestions for my problem. The expertise in this forum is impressive.
I think that using the Winbond W77E58 will work best for me. As a pin-compatible replacement for my 80C32, it will require minimal changes to my circuit board (I'll just need to add a trace for the WAIT signal). As a bonus, it has enough on-board flash memory that I can eliminate the external flash chip on my circuit board. Thanks to all the respondents. I sincerely appreciate your help. Carroll |
