Thank you for the info. Yes, I am using an 8051 in a PLCC44 package. I did look at the prices, and the W77E58 is about $11 (at Arrow electronics), which is okay for my application. It might cost me less to use the W77L32 (the ROM-less version, about $6) and continue to use my external flash memory chip. I'll have to look at the cost of my flash memory in order to decide. Do you know where I could buy these WinBond processor chips, in small quantities, for prototyping purposes? Neither Digi-key nor Mouser seems to carry them. Carroll |
