#53865 - RE: steve & kai.
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi,

Steve what you are saying is fine but that will require DC/DC converter
at the other end which is costly what do you feel if we isolate
the 485 loop on the processor end and not at the transducer
data transmision end ? .

------------------

Kai The sensor ground and my ckt ground is the same , But what do in case
of floating ground how much common mode voltage is expected in industrial systems ?.
And can you please explain where to tie the shield of the cable
in case of 4-20mA loop ?. can we use both chasis ground to tie the shield ? or
use the transmitter end common and leave the other end floating .

Grounding is really a black magic art :) .

Regards
Sanjeev
