Hi all,

I mostly use these family logic chip 74LS/74HC and 40xx in my hardware.

Just recently, I used buffer for my 51's reset and TX (to PC via MAX232). I used 74xx14. I tried LS, C, and HC for xx. I found out that 74HC14 was the best to my purpose. With 74LS14, TX was not working (57600bps). With 74C14, reset was not valid. I used 5 volts VCC.

My question:
What are actually the differences between these logic family?
