#54523 - Peak Hold |
I currently have an application to capture the Peak Load value from a load cell that keeps changing over a specific period.
Earlier it was within 5 secs and I managed it with a little alogo with 8052 - -Capture the analog data in a RAM once every millisecond. - At the end of the 5 seconds, run a small loop to find out the maximum value from the collected 5000 samples. Was giving OK repeatability. Being a slow process, a capture once in 5ms was also OK. But now the timing has increased to about 20 seconds and I am thinking of switching over to an analog peak-hold facility at the input stage of the 7107 display ADC. The Peak-Hold facility once selected by the user will display ONLY the peak value that occured within that 20 Sec span and then reset to start the next cycle. When peak hold is not required it functions as a normal DPM. Looking for some tips/ciruits/links/pitfalls ( to avoid of course ). Thanks Raghu PS: Entering "Peak Hold" returns 43 results in Search |
