#54999 - RE: dead flash Responding to: ???'s previous message |
as I stated in t he original post: I have now changed that to a 'walking write' in another area.
I believe I am using a simpler process than you. This works only on the (Atmel) 'go ahead and write' flash such as AT29C020. I have 16 slots, all one sector long, and write a serial number (0-127) as part of the record. When writing I find, in a circular fashion) the first slot that has a lower number than the previous OR the first slot with S/N 0xff (erased) and write there with the next serial number. When 127 is seen, I erase the section. Erik Erik |
