#55456 - RE: 24/7 and 365 days... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Have any body here developed a system on MCS-51 core running continuously 365 days a year. If so, what are the precautions to be taken and what all problems could arise.
I have many systems that have run for 10 years+ with no problems the only precaution has been to design well. What are Extra precautions to be taken care of if the installation is in a manufacturing industry. The first precaution is fail safe. e.g. if you have a bar that comes down, you must design so that if the system fails the bar stay up. Just try a little design excersise, this will be very informative. sketch a system controlling a hydraulic lever where the lever will go up in either if the following cases if a transistor shorts if a transistor opens if a relay sticks Erik |
