You seem to have the same false assumption as Rustu Kaya that you can just dump any piece of code into any arbitrary 8051 derivative and expect it to work!

Have you been through every single SFR definition in both the 8952 and the 89C55WD and verified that they are totally compatible?
Have you checked you code's memory map against the actual memory architectures of the two parts?
