The same way we used to before programmable devices came along - use discrete logic!

You know: Multiplexers, Latches, Decoders, Shift-Registers, etc, etc, etc,...

But why, in the 21st Century, are you so averse to programmable logic?

How can I recommend a Triscend E5 if you refuse to consider Programmable logic!? ;-)
