#56650 - Cheap, simple, on-target prototyping Responding to: ???'s previous message |
"All that said however.......since I discovered Cygnal style development boards with JTAG onchip debugging and hardware breakpoints for about $100 I find the use of Parallel Port prototyping to be a thing of the past. See some articles I have posted regarding developing with the Cygnal parts here.... "
See - Mike enjoys the acoustics in here too! I'd say exactly the same about the Triscend - you get the added benefit of the onboard programmable logic but, unfortunately, I don't know of a DevKit for $100 :-( (but I'm working on it...) Or you could try an 89LPC932 devkit for under fifty quid: http://www.hitex.co.uk/shop/Kits...amily.html Just needs a serial port on the PC - not even a parallel port! (works with a USB/RS-232 adaptor, so you can even use it on a legacy-free PC with no serial or parallel ports!) ![]() |
