I am a little concern about using PWM because I need to be able to hook a voltage meter to read the voltage powering the motor/solenoid.

1.) When useing a power MOSFET will I be able read voltages ranging from 0-50vdc.

2.) Will and 8051 with a 10K Pullup Resistor to 5V be capable of providing the PWM to the Gate of the MOSFET which will have 50Vdc on the Source and GND on the Drain.
