Dan... "even though your chip is certified, your entire device must be approved." Well the telephone line is terminated by the certified chip 88422 from zarlink. so i always though that the telephone line only see and interact with this chip and it has nothing to do with the entire circuit behind the chip. and that circuit has nothing to do with the telephone line. why the entire circuit need to be certified and what damage can the circuit behind the chip, if possible, can do to the telephone line.
