Make sure to check the nature of the RC filter on the switch. All too many engineers hook up a switch filter as shown below:



If your circuit is configured like this your "Brand New "L&T" make Switches with only one NO block" will not be so new after a time. As a matter of fact such circuit can even destroy your switch contacts making them even more prone to bouncing at make and break.

To correctly apply an RC circuit with a switch filter there must ALSO be a resistor in series with the switch contacts to protect the switch contacts from a rapid discharge of the capacitor.
