What 8051 part are you actually using. Derivative type part referrs to some type of 8051 derived from the original Intel 8051 design. Today many 8051 parts are not just clones but derivatives in that they have evolved with many new features changes and capabilities as well as performance increases. These parts many times have new and unique SFRs and so to provide help on special SFRs is is necessary to know exactly what chip you are trying to use.
