#58704 - RE: Assembly language dead? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Assembly is dead, so Assembly programmers have no place in modern world, they belong to a history museum.
I'm sure your post will draw lots of response, but I couldn't disagree with you more. I have been involved in many 8052 consulting projects developing the firmware. Only one client wanted the code in 'C'. All others wanted it in assembly. Assembly programmers for PCs that run Windows or Linux are probably not as necessary as they used to be and developing a Windows application in assembly language would be "cruel and unusual punishment," but assembly language is very much alive and well for 8052 development.
