is the rtc in the adobe file (ds 12887, ds 1687, ds 17287) the same as the one im using, im using a ds17887, which i'd imagine is a new model. i would think all the rtc's from dallas are backward compatible ?

at the moment i need to produce a schematic for my project. apart from the mpu and rtc, there is also a solar panel which keeps a ni cad battery charged up and the output goes to a regulator which powers up the 80xx mpu......


i need to get the rtc and lcd hooked up to the mpu.
