A critical milestone of becoming an engineer is the ability to take an objective, ponder it, find its ambiguities, resolve or choose among them, divide the project into manageable tasks, attack those problems, solve them, test your solutions, assemble all the tasks into a system, validate the system, and finally to take a job at the company across the street that is offering to pay you more. :)
