Thanks for the datasheet - I hadn't been able to find it after Terry's original post. :-(

Yes - it does look like it's effectively just a mechanical push-on push-off switch like Michael Neary suggested, but with the addition of a solenoid so that it can also be electrically "pushed".
Ufortunately, this relies upon filler pushing it exactly once - which is not acceptable.
