A Half-duplex link can carry data in either one direction or the other, but not both at once; A full-duplex link can carry data in both directions simultaneously. (of course, the hardware might have full-duplex capability, but the software might only use it half-duplex...) Funnily enough, I have just written to "Components in Electronics" (a UK freebie ad-mag) on this very subject! |
