when I started, there where no CAN loader parts available. For production it's also easier with a standard laptop / PC to program the chip. Afterwards, insystem it was easier for us to use a very simple loader that could overwrite the program in all nodes of the application. And since our software worked, why should we change a running system, never do it ;-)
