I have had a similiar headache.
A perfectly normal code executing out of 89c51 failed to address any data in external memory when ported to 89c51rd2. Reason was that the EXTRAM bit in the AUXR special function register was not set ! Most times this "Works on one derivative and does not work on another derivative" may have an issue with SFRs. Hope you have checked out these. Not saying that this could be the only reason. Raghu |
