#6069 - RE: The choice of career:
My 2 Belgian francs' worth :

I work in both branches (master of none?). If I find I need to add a capacitor to a circuit to make it work, I then have to write a program to show I was right! I have also built & installed an automatic scoring system for a bowling centre - there was no line between hardware & software - it *all* had to work as one system. A PC is a tool, just like a scope or a soldering iron.

Craig : I want a piece of the action! Where do I sign? I'll even emigrate! (what? again?)

Jay : I liked the reference to the TMA. Are *they* just waiting to be noticed?

Concerning the complexity of modern programs, this was mentioned in a training session today on the 3D CAD program TopSolid - a colleague suggested we don't/will never use more than 10% of the features.

Regards,

Richard
