#61532 - RE: Midi Processing (a little OT maybe) Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Thanks for the replies.
Hans : All my info comes from sites like midipage.nl, harmonycentral, borg.com and all the other bigger and smaller websites. Like I stated : I'm not looking for circuits. Been there, done that, made my own.. I've searched my head of on this subject. I hate those lazy leechers also. So when something isn't mentioned in a spec one can always assume it's not there? (in regard to breaks between the messages) Receiving midi at 31250 Baud (not 32500) is a light job for a 8051 derivate but is the proccessing also a light task? What do you mean by pitfalls? Things like running status, differences between XM en GS spec etc? I don't want to make a one chip synthesizer, Bartosz. Just a synthesizer 'brain'. So al I'm looking for is an example on how to process my RX buffer. How to determine what message is received, read the controller, read the value, etc. Best regards, Peter |
