#61774 - RE: Again, the robo Ball 100Hz and 50Hz
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi Charles,

I'm not sure that there will be any harmonics... The 50 Hz alternate current switches the lamps "off" and "on" at a frequency of 100Hz (as well the positive as negative swing of the voltage lights up the lamp). So this means that there is absolutely no difference between the 100 Hz from the robo Ball and the frequency generated by the lights. In the US there is no such problem as the frequency is 60 Hz and the lights produce a 120Hz signal. Hence the 100Hz ferquency of the Robo-Ball. I think the frequency of the emitting Robo-ball should be changed as it cannot be distuingished from ambient light in countries with 50Hz AC.

regards
