If your were programming on a PC your comments may apply. However if a greenhorn on an 8051 implementation is told to use C language out of the starting gate when there is no fundamental understanding of the 8051 architecture and good familarity with the assembly language the project is highly likely to FAIL !!!

The tune is still in my ears from reading post after post on this forum where people say that they cannot debug their C code because they do not understand the assembly language that they see in the debugger. The second verse of the tune comes to mind every time I read about the difficulties people have in making assembly language work in conjunction with their C programs.

So get off recommending C for microcontroller beginners until assembly language has been mastered.
