#62168 - RE: PWM assembly code for 5 PWM signals
Responding to: ???'s previous message
The code I posted is not what Boby asked. I wrote it at 6:00 AM this morning while having coffee before going to work. it is very crude, and simple without the possibility to specify the on- and off times separately plus it contains a timing flaw. But I think I can do the code Boby wants too. Probably, it would take me 15 minutes. In fact I think I'll do that now. But I'm not going to post it!
What I want to get across is how much you shoot yourself in the foot with code begging, ESPECIALLY as a student. I am amazed when students belittle a subject in their course, Boby is an excellent example of this. Maybe you think now that there is a glorious future ahead for you as a C++ programmer, or an Internet Guru, but things are never that simple, if clear cut carreers like that exist at all, plus you do not have guarantees for your own personal professional future carreer. Also remember that the big Internet Hype is behind us, and the future will probably demand that you have some proper abilities again if you want to be a software engineer.
That is why it is shooting yourself in the foot begging for code, receiving it, using it while not exactly understanding it (although I don't think that applies to this particular example, and I don't think Boby is stupid, get that straight!) or having gone through the "pain and agony" of the struggle, and thereby denying yourself any exercise in a particular field, practically giving up the chance to increase your abilities in problem analysis and creative thinking on a certain subject. Remember that all bits of knowledge help, but they are so much more powerful if you truely understand what lays behind them. And to learn that, you will have to WORK, be in the dark, stumble, and get up again from time to time. Even if you don't like the prospect.

I see so much code begging going on lately, it's an eyesore. I couldn't resist to try and make this point.
