Not necessarily to define where we work, but rather to get our work efforts into tools that can perform the formal verification and code generation that beer mats lack. However, I do find it easier to concentrate on my designs when the bottle of single malt scotch (my preference over beer, though I've never been known to push away a beer) is out of arms reach.
