#63448 - New CPU and old complier |
Hi,
The compiler I am using was released around 1990. It didn't support some features on new CPU. for example, I am using ST3234A, it has two STANDARD SERIAL INTERFACE (UART), If I want to use uart2, The sending data command will be MOV SUBF2, A. I need to check if the data is out? if it were uart1, it will be easy, JNB TI, $. but my complier didn't support bit accessible for second uart,so I can't use JNB TI2, $ command.. The question is: 1. still using old complier 2. still using this cpu. Is it possible for me to access uart2 by BIT? what I am doing is : 1. read SCON2. 2. RRC---> TI2-->C 3. check if C is set? Thanks in advance Frank |
