If you tell us which assembler/compiler you're using you may be able to get a more specific answer.
as for this code snippet.. 1. read SCON2. 2. RRC---> TI2-->C 3. check if C is set? why do you rotate then test for carry? There are instructions that allow you to conditionally jump on the bit itself: mov a,scon2 jb a.2,zippo that is, if you want to do it this way. The recommended way is to find out how to declare bits and registers in your assembler/compiler.
