#63647 - Wireless MIDI Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Erik offers good advice. Use one of the newer 8051 flash parts that allow for in-system programming and then you won't need to buy a programmer. Just allow some method of re-using the serial port for updating the code (using say, FlashMagic).
- you might have to socket the crystal since the MIDI people usually use 12Mhz and common baud rates typically are attainable with the 11.0592MHz. - You may need to have a way of switching from the MIDI opto/connecter to RS232 for the code uploading. It also sounds like you might need multiple serial ports? One for MIDI and one for the RF part? GB |
