I like phpBB look and fell, but I like more phpnuke (slashdot) look and fell

the moderation idea is a must, instead of our idea of demerits points, a karma system earned through good questions/answers. the demerits failed since somebody has to post a new message with -1, -10, -1000... a karma feature would hid stupid posts, gimme-code, gimme-knowledge-without-effort and the likes...

if the reception of a new forum software isn't welcomed by the majority maybe a new hack of the current code to support a moderation system for improvement?
