#6412 - RE: Code breaking, what kind of IC will help |
Encryption is used as the lock to data that must be protected from those that might misuse it. This isn't a matter of law its a matter of protection. You have no right, for example, to my credit card information anymore than you have the right to pick the lock on the door of my home.
I can assure you that if you violated my living space I would defend it to any necessary extreme. Privacy is not a matter of law but an absolute right. Such as the right for anyone to protect sensitive data at their judgement. "Braking, Nazi codes in world war II was perfectly ethical. " Not from the point of view of the Nazis. Oh, and they shot at us! "And why are you interested in secrecy?" That is none of your business. My secrecy is mine. What I do with data that I generate is between me and the people for whom I choose to share the keys. "I do not feel that be mere fact of being laws, they are just, as Americans would have you think. " You think everyone has the right to things that are not theirs? The data encrypted in the code you wish to break does not belong to you and you have no right to it. The very fact that you can't see that makes your character suspect. I can assure you, if you broke (though you certainly do not have the ability) encrypted data of mine that I felt sensitive, the law would not be your only worry. Allen |
