But why don't you study the datasheet and write the code? It shouldn't take long to do. Hmmm. This forum is sooo anti-here-is-some-code. I agree with all the comments that folks should understand their hardware and be capable programmers in their own right, but if the hardware people were so stingy with their intellectual property we'd still all have to craft our own flip-flops out of NAND gate packages. Having been in the embedded industry for about 15 years, half of that as a college instructor, I understand the feelings about students stealing answers from the 'net. Still, not everyone needs to derive everything from first principles. A character LCD driver is certainly ubiquitous enough by now that the guys shouldn't be made to feel bad because it's his first time through it. |
