I would think that most people's implementations would allow for LCD reconfiguration by changing some pin definitions and selecting whether or not it was 4 or 8 bit mode. The LCD connection schemes I've seen are all bit-bang anyway, so they are not that dramatically different (I guess except those people that try the shift register route, but they are in the vast minority from what I can see). I would have offered mine up (after the first few go-arounds I gneralized like mentioned above), but my employer would have my head. I have an old HC11 one that's not nearly as nice if that helps. |
