Hi

I want to connect LCD and Keypad both on a single port of 89C51.I am using a martix keybord and a 20 X 2 line LCD display.According to my logic this should work,b'cause at any given time the 8051 send or receives data from only one of the two.And that to the data will be latched by the LCD only when a H-to-L pulse is given, so this should never matter to LCD

But that's not the case......

Here i connected both LCD and Keypad to a single port and the result was some keys gave correct display and some displayed junk values. I had written a prog to accept the key and display the number on to the LCD.

Can i get a solution....
or is their any chance of it......
