#65650 - RE: Flexible Networking....
Responding to: ???'s previous message
hi,
do you mean only ONE wire? It is not good idea to use 1-wire communication for multi-processor interconnection especially at "no-master" scheme. Well, it is possible somehow. At such conditions I preffer to use TTC (time-triggered communication). But the problem is that you need to find a way how to assign "network number" for each device. It may be fixed (with DIP-switch) or may not be fixed (randomly assigned with re-assign if collision has been detected); but it must be defined for each device and must be unique over the network.
The full description of such network scheme takes alot of words and time. In fact, I tried type it out but it is weekend now and I am so lazy after this workdays so I deleted those lines and suggest you drop your idea, take beer and rest for two days (=

BTW, try to look for the second wire and then you will be free to choice other interfaces/protocols. For me, I preffer the CAN. Very flexibló and common friendly one.

Regards,
Oleg
