#66122 - 8051 interface through ISA VGA or CGA |
Hi everyone,
I am planning to realize an embeded system based on 8051 where I would like to realize and ISA interface. Through this interface I would like to use old VGA or CGA cards, so I could use a CRT monitor to display text in text mode. I am not sure if this is the best solution how to acces CRT display with the 8051. I heard it's quite complicated to initialize the VGA card bios. CGA should not be so complicated, but I could not find any links or help on the internet. Or should I rather use one chip solutions like Xilinx XC4005XL VGA Controller? Any advices or answeres I would very apritiate. Attila |
