how does one know the accuracy of a crystal? I mean, is checking via a SCope, the only solution? Can you do it using Software?
I have never done this for crystals only, but one method is to carefully and in assembler to cretate something that is supposed to run for, say, exactly one hour. check the watch when the LED comes on, go to lunch and check the exact time when the LED goes off.
