#67120 - RE: How to update Firmware \\\'on the fl Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Some of the latest Dallas processors have the ALU in them as well. Is it perhaps better to look at upgrading processor to the latest devices ?
I DID do a flash programmer on top of the 80C535 12 years ago, the program switched copied itself from ROM to RAM, erased the ROM, then programmed the new version over the serial port. Very dodgy, but I wasn't working "remote" - If I did it again a.) I'd use an ISP chip b.) I might use bank switching and checksum things much more than I did then. Steve |
